Our daughter was just diagnosed as twice exceptional. Bittersweet -- we were testing her for dyslexia and the tests confirmed that she does indeed have dyslexia and we also found out what we already knew but had no cognitive documentation -- she is VERY gifted. So I have two thoughts:
1. How do parents help their children when it can be so frustrating to be so smart, but unable to express themselves in a manner that showcases their gifts?
2. As a teacher, how do we provide services that enrich/enhance their learning while still helping the students with their disability?

Quad sounds nice. But Also look into homeschooling. There are any number of things your daughter may want to explore on her own that will dovetail neatly into your state's requirements. She can study independently with your guidance in the avenues she learns best at. Homeschooling really has come of age recently and there's so much to learn and do. My teen daughter is homeschooling and is really digging it. My middle schooler is also homeschooling but in a way that best suits him. My first grader is at the local P.S. because of their excellent work with him this year and last. He was recently diagnosed with PDD NOS but his two elder siblings are gifted in completely different areas, and have their own struggles too. One might be struggling with discalculia and the other is dealing with some sort of dyslexia. You can decide what's best for them year by year, and it does change. Just some food for thought , I hope it helps. Some places to look into are LEAH Loving Education at home, The Homescholar, R.O.C.K. Solid educational supplies (they've always been a good supplier for what our needs have been curriculum wise, HSLDA (National group they have a map and stats on each state and how difficult or relatively easy each states requirements can be). Homeschooling is a good option, not easy but good. I hope I didn't overwhelm you. Good luck!
